Your services, written once
Sending requests
Settings, Your services is where you write down the work you do for clients, once: its name, how you charge for it, the amount, what the letter says you will do, and any terms that apply to that service alone.
How you charge
- Fixed fee is one amount for the work.
- Per quarter is an amount each quarter.
- Per hour is an hourly rate.
- Quoted per letter has no amount here. You type it on each letter, because it is different every time.
Using them on a letter
When you fill in a template that has a fees section, the services you have written are listed. Tick the ones you are doing for this client and the fees section fills itself from them, one line each, with any extra terms beneath. Nothing else in the letter changes: the template's own wording stays as it is.
The list of services says how many documents each one has gone into. A document counts once it is finished with the service ticked; ticking it and then changing your mind, or never finishing the letter, counts nothing.
Changing a service
Changes apply to letters you start from now on. A letter already written keeps what it said, because a service's words are copied into a letter rather than pointed back at this page. Archiving a service stops it being offered and deletes nothing.
