The note from ChekSign after somebody signs
Signing
After somebody signs one of your requests, the page they see straight afterwards may show a short note from ChekSign inviting them to try ChekSign for their own documents.
When it starts
It is not shown yet. It starts only once ChekSign's Privacy Notice says it can, and every owner of every workspace is emailed about that change before it takes effect, with the date it starts and where to turn the note off. You can turn it off now, before it ever appears.
What it looks like
It sits below everything else on that page: below the confirmation that they have signed, their copy where it is ready, and the box telling them how to reach you. It is in ChekSign's own colours rather than yours, and it says that it is from ChekSign and not from your business, so nobody reads it as you selling them something.
Who sees it
Only somebody who has just signed one of your requests, and only on that page. These people never see it:
- A witness, or somebody you asked only to read a document.
- Somebody who declined.
- Anybody who belongs to your workspace.
- Anybody who opens their link again later, even to fetch their signed copy.
What it does not do
It is never emailed, and nothing about it is added to the request, its certificate or its audit report. ChekSign does not record which signers saw it or followed it. If somebody does open their own account from it, ChekSign records that the account came from the note and which business's request they had signed, and nothing else about them.
Turning it off
Under Settings, Recipient signing page, untick Show the ChekSign note to people after they sign and save. It is hidden on all your requests from then on, including requests already out for signing.
Turning the note off is included from the Business plan upwards. A workspace that existed before the note was introduced can turn it off whatever plan it is on. On a plan below that, the setting is shown but cannot be changed, and the page says which plan includes it.
