Letting Claude suggest where the boxes go

Sending requests

When you place boxes on a document you uploaded, Claude can read it and suggest where each signer's signature, initials, signing date and printed name go. You see the list first, and nothing is on the page until you press Place.

Turning it on

It is off until an owner or admin turns it on under Settings, Reading with Claude, because it sends the document outside ChekSign: the document and the names of the people asked to sign it go to Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, to be read. Email addresses and phone numbers are not sent, ChekSign does not keep what was sent, and nothing is sent until somebody presses Suggest boxes.

Using it

  • Open the request, then place boxes on the document.
  • Press Suggest boxes. Claude reads the document and lists each box it found, whose it is, which page, and the words printed where it goes.
  • Press Place to put them all on the page, or Not these to leave them.
  • Look at every box. Claude's sense of exactly where a line sits is close but not exact, so drag any box that is a little off, and remove any you do not want.
  • Undo takes every placed suggestion off in one step.

Boxes are suggested only for the people asked to sign that document, and each is placed by the same rules as one you place yourself. Where somebody already has a box at that spot, for example one the wording asked for, the suggestion is left out rather than doubled.

It works on a request that has not been sent. Once a request is sent, its boxes cannot change.
