Signing on your phone
Signing
This one is written for your clients, so you can pass it on to anybody who asks how to sign on a phone.
You do not need an app or an account. Open the link in the email you were sent, and the document opens in your phone's browser.
If you are asked for a code
Some documents ask you to prove the email or the phone number is yours first. Press Send me a code, and a six-digit code arrives by email or by text, depending on what the sender chose. Your phone may offer the code from the message as you tap the box; otherwise type it in. If it does not arrive, Send another sends a new one.
Reading the document
Scroll through the document with your finger. If there are several documents, each has its own tab; open each one. If the sender asked you to fill anything in, such as a date, a short answer or a tick, the page asks for it before you sign, and an answer marked as required has to be given. A date can be typed as day, month and year with slashes, dots or dashes between them.
Signing
Type your full name. You can also draw your signature with your finger in the box below it, or choose a picture of it (a PNG or a JPEG). Then press Sign. Pressing it is your signature; there is no second step to confirm it.
If you do not want to sign, press Decline instead, and you can say why. Nothing is signed in your name.
Afterwards
When everybody has signed, you are sent your own signed copy by email, with a certificate that records who signed and when. You can check that copy against the sender's record at any time, without an account.
