Labelling requests, and tidying the labels up
Sending requests
A label is your own filing. You type one onto a request, and it becomes a way to find that request later — the lists let you filter by it.
There is no "new label" button, and that is deliberate
Labels are created by using them. A label nobody has put on anything is a label nobody needed, so there is nowhere to make one in advance.
Fixing them later
Settings, Labels shows every label in use with how many requests carry it. From there you can respell one — which carries every request with it — or take it off everything.
Renaming a label onto one that already exists MERGES the two. That is the common case rather than an edge one: you are usually collapsing a misspelling into the real thing, and some requests carry both. Those end up carrying it once.
What a label is not
It is your filing and nothing more. Renaming or deleting one changes how you find a request. It touches no document, no signature and no part of the record — a certificate already issued says exactly what it said before.
