How long you stay signed in
Workspace and users
ChekSign signs you out after two hours without any activity, and twelve hours after you signed in whatever you are doing. Anything you do on a ChekSign page counts as activity: typing, pressing a button or a link, or scrolling. Activity in one ChekSign tab keeps the others signed in too.
Before you are signed out
Two minutes before an inactivity sign-out, a box asks "Still there?". Press Stay signed in and you carry on where you were.
The twelve-hour limit cannot be extended. A note appears two minutes before it, and you sign in again to carry on.
Your work is kept
Before signing you out, ChekSign saves what is on screen: the box you were typing in, and a document open in the editor. Anything you had typed into a form but not yet added, such as a new contact, is put back when you return to that page. After you sign in again you come straight back to the page you were on.
Signed out for another reason
An open page checks every minute that your sign-in is still good. You are signed out straight away if your password is changed, your account is locked, or you are removed from the workspace, and the sign-in page says why.
Remember me
Ticking Remember me keeps you signed in when you close the browser, within the same limits. It does not make a sign-in last longer.
The people signing your documents
None of this applies to the people you send documents to. A signing link does not sign anybody in, and how long your own sign-in lasts makes no difference to it.
