Exporting your firm's data
Workspace and users
An owner can export everything the workspace holds as one zip file, from Settings then Export your firm's data. It asks for your password, because the file holds everything.
What is in it
- Every signed document exactly as ChekSign certified it, with its certificate of completion bound in, and each document as it was presented for signature.
- The audit report of every request that was sent, and every trusted timestamp token.
- An index of every request, with its recipients, dates and status, and the SHA-256 hash of every file, so any of them can be checked at /verify.
- Your contacts, the documents you wrote, your templates and email templates, the membership history and your invoices.
- A read-me saying what each part is and how to check a document.
Nothing from any other workspace is included, and no password, signing link or other credential is ever exported.
Getting the file
The export is made in the background. When it is ready we email you a link. The link works for seven days, and only for an owner of the workspace after signing in. Each export asked for and each download is recorded in the membership history.
One export is made at a time, and a workspace can ask for three in a day. If one cannot be made, the export page shows it as failed and we email you to say so. Nothing was sent anywhere, and you can ask again.
If you are leaving
Cancelling a plan ends sending and nothing else, so you can export at any time after. If we close a workspace, its owners can still export it for 30 days.
